Yes, those are live jingle bells
Merry Christmas to the most beautiful girl underneath the mistletoe with nobody there to hold her. If I were to kiss you right now, I swear that we would not even hear the fireworks over the sound of our racing heartbeats, like we deserve this. But we’re deserted. I’m not even sure if getting you these gifts was worth it, but you’re worth it, and someone’s gotta make you see you’re perfect - at least to me. Getting you to smile at me tonight will be the best gift that I open. Your eyes always light up a room better than this Christmas tree ever will, and if I stare into them long enough, maybe I’ll understand this winter wonderland that is you.
If this is the season of joy, I can’t wait to see myself when I reach my lowest. With all of this snow on the ground, I’m just easily reminded that there’s not another set of footprints next to mine. It’s been twenty-one years of blue, and waking up alone Christmas morning is something that I’m still not getting used to. Alone, I’ll hang up my lights. They’re still white, but they aren’t as bright as they used to be. I’ve been dimming ever since you left me.
